Lessons at the summer school may take place at King’s College School in Wimbledon Village in July. It is a great place to explore London’s history and culture while improving your English with our friendly summer staff.
Classes run from Monday to Friday mornings. They focus on everyday English, helping students speak with confidence in real situations. Lessons also include topics about British life, history, and culture. Our busy social programme makes learning fun, as you meet new friends from many different countries.
In summer, CES students enjoy excellent facilities at King’s College School, such as:
Bright classrooms for English lessons and group work
Common room and social spaces to relax, play games and meet friends
A beautiful campus next to Wimbledon Common, with lots of green space for outdoor games and summer events
Wimbledon Village also has cafés, small shops, parks and local services. Students enjoy the safety and calm of this residential area.
King’s College School is easy to reach by public transport. The nearest station is Wimbledon (District Line, National Rail, Tramlink). From there, you can take a short bus ride (routes 93 or 200) or walk to the school.
Local buses also connect Wimbledon with Raynes Park, Southfields, Morden, Putney and central London.
CES recommends Zones 1–4 Travelcards for junior groups. These cover travel:
Between homestays and King’s College School
Around Wimbledon and south-west London
Into central London for sightseeing and social events
This makes travel simple, flexible and good value. For planning routes and checking live times, you can use the TfL Journey Planner online or the TfL Go app.
Student safety is very important at CES London. Students and Group Leaders must wear their CES lanyard at all times on campus and during activities. Visitors must report to reception, and teaching areas are monitored.
If you see anything unusual or feel worried, speak to a CES staff member or Group Leader straight away. Our summer staff and Group Leaders are always ready to help, answer questions and make sure everyone feels safe, welcome and happy.
